The 1960's

-Psycho directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Horrifying audiences back then and now. Named most chilling movie ever by AFI (American Film Association).

-John Fitzgerald Kennedy elected as 35th president of the United States of America. He was the first catholic president of the USA.

-Nelson Mandela jailed for 27 years for fighting against the government. He was released in 1990.

-John F. Kennedy assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Lee Harvey Oswald then was caught in a movie theater.

-Bob Dylan released The Times They Are A-Changin'. My 2nd favorite song by Dylan.

-Rock me' Sock me' Robots released for the first time in stores. Still a fun game for two friends.

-Wrestler Mike Tyson born. He was infamous for biting off Evander Holyfield's ear in a match.

-Thurgood Marshall sworn in the U.S. supreme court. He was a hero in black history.

-Martin Luther King Jr. assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee. James Earl Ray was then sentenced to 99 years in prison.

-Sesame Street debuts on television. It became probably the greatest educational program of all time.
