Great Depression

The Great Depression lasted from 1929-1939. It was the longest economic downturn in American history. By 1933,  Over 13 million Americans were unemployed. It started with the stock market crash back in 1929. That put Wall Street into a panic losing millions of investors. During the 1930's president Franklin D. Roosevelt helped to lessen the effects of the Great Depression. The economy turned around however in 1939.WWII got American industry back into progress. It is still considered one of, if not, the biggest economic crisis in world history.

  1. I really like this Great Depression document because it covers a lot of things in a short paragraph to make things easy for me.But I wonder where the Great Depression "hit" the most.
